Speech

My speech topic is native trees. I chose this topic because people chop down native trees and there will none left. When I presented my speech I felt COOL. What I did well was to say SO BE WITH ME PEOPLE.

What I could of done better was talk slower.

Here is my speech:

Did you know that lots and lots of New Zealand trees are dying?

We need to look after our trees because they produce oxygen and we need oxygen to breathe. SO LISTEN PEOPLE! Do not chop down Native Trees. I believe that we should protect our native trees so they all are safe. Now listen to my 3 reasons  why we need to look after our trees.

Firstly, trees look after animals like birds and bugs. If trees did not EXIST the birds would live on the ground. Birds nest in trees so they make good homes. Bugs live in the bark and the roots of the trees.

Secondly, some trees have been around for hundreds of years. Tane Mahuta is the biggest, largest and oldest Kauri tree in the world. If we lost this tree it would be so sad and it couldn’t be replaced. SO BE WITH ME PEOPLE DO NOT CHOP DOWN TREES!!!!!!!

Finally, trees are important because they are good for climbing.  On a hot day they make good shade. They make your garden look nice. If we didn’t have trees we couldn’t go for a walk in the bush and look at the trees.

I believe that we should look after our trees because there will be none left.

So don’t chop down trees and stick with me.
