Te Rehutai

This week we were excited to be learning a bit about Te Rehutai, the Team New Zealand AC 75 that has been sailing in the Waitemata Harbour.  Here is my information.

Peter Burling is the skipper for the AC75.

75 feet long and 5.4m wide.

It can go 50 knots.It has 11 people in it.

NZ has been the most successful apart from America.

 

Maths

 We are learning how to look at numbers, how they work and how you can group them. We did an activity called Numbers as shapes. It’s a bit like algebra thinking. Here is my work:

We have been learning about how adjectives can be used to describe a noun.  We had a task of using opposite adjectives to describe a noun in a couplet poem.  Here is my couplet poem.  Can you find the opposite adjectives?
